Default Guild Wars Versions help

Hi all,

I have been "out of the circle" of Guild Wars for over a year now. I used to play the original ALOT, Now i see that there are 3 Versions (or one to come soon), Original, Factions and Nightfall?

to complete the whole game do i need Factions? or will Nightfall provide access to Factions like Factions provided access to the original?

Thanks for any help.

you can merge Nightfall without having Factions.

if you liked the original Factions will be a rude shock.

Nightfall seems to be better (my opinion) in all respects to Factions and closer to the original with improvements

Factions doesn't provide access to the original. Nightfall won't provide access to anything except Nightfall.

To do all the missions/quests and "complete the game" you need to buy all three campaigns (and any future campaigns).

To anticipate a possible future question:
You can link them to an existing account and use your old characters but get less new slots, or play them completely seperately with more slots but not with your old characters.

Thanks for the replies.

I thought the Factions CD-KEY allowed you to play the original also.

Looks like i have alot of gaming to do before Nightfall comes out then

it will IF AND ONLY IF

you have a preexisting chapter one account.

you choose the add key to existing account to *merge* the two accounts into a single account giving access to both games by all characters (this will give you a total of 6 slots)

Nightfall will be the same.

if you merge your Nightfall with your existing account all characters will have access to both original and Nightfall

if you pick up the prerelease retail box you get an extra bonus character slot for about 5 bucks which is half the GW store cost
